The Nebraska State Personnel Development Grant (NSPDG) will expand the number of sites that use positive behavior interventions and supports (PBIS) and implement the National Network of Partnership Schools (NNPS) family and community involvement model. This model is a proven, effective strategy to deliver intensive professional development that resulted in scaling up PBIS in Nebraskas largest school district, Omaha from 18 to 84 buildings, and began the effort in the second largest district, Lincoln as well as two rural districts, Valley and Nebraska City Public Schools. In addition, NSPDG will strengthen and sustain implementation of PBIS in model sites. Third, the use and coordination of the use of PBIS in early intervention/early childhood special education (EI/ECSE) programs will be expanded.
